My food journey started with a van ride from Cavite and a bus ride from Baclaran to reach the Shell gasoline station in Ayala Avenue where the bus to get to Bonifacio Global City pick up their passengers bound to Market, Market or The Fort. I alighted on the 30th street and walked past two malls before reaching
The NBC Tent where the YUMMY EATS 2013 event was being held last May 18, 2013. The one day eating and cooking fair was successfully attended by it's over 50 food concessionaires, foodie bloggers and curious food trippers all aiming to grab a bite of the ready food samples offered by the more than 50 food stalls which has a variety of great choices to satiate our foodie appetites.
I enjoyed the fun, food, and fab. :)

Upon paying my 200ph entrance fee I was handed my food stamp passport, a plate and a spoon at the cashier. The first dish I tried out was the tofu and ground meat from Hunt's Tomato Sauce, one of the co-presenters for the food fair. Having attended the previous event last year, I noticed new booths and new food offerings which I am excited to sample and appreciate. Worth noticing is the booth with the best lechon de leche; Pepita's Kitchen the most lined up food stall in the area. Having a bite of their lechon truly made my day, the skin was so crunchy I ran out of words to describe it. It's hard to describe happiness in a plate of their lechon, it should be experienced and every bit should be savored up to the last bite. The Rub Ribs and BBQ had the most share of endless food enthusiasts eager to have a cup of their generous sampling of Rub Beef and Fish and Chips. It was truly the best tasting ribs I had during the event.
The cook! is at the tent. ready to be impressed :)
Magnolia Butter, King Sue, McCormick were there to lend support and give their best to make this event a successful one. All in all it was so well organized, the YUMMY Magazine staff were on hand to explain
the purpose and goal of the yearly food fair which is to promote creativity, passion and love for food. All the concessionaires gave their best to showcase and promote their bestsellers. Drinking water and dining tables were conveniently located within the premises.I just wish that the guests would try to respect the "clean as you go" sign because some chose to leave their plates on the exhibitor's table when the area is properly provided with trash bins on every corner. I notice there are more crowds this year than before and the event may need a bigger venue next year. For it's overall success, I congratulate The YUMMY Magazine staff for another tummy filling food event see you again next year!
the number one food magazine in the Philippines.
