Pork Steak with Pineapple

With just five ingredients this steak dish turned out perfect.A very easy to prepare Asian steak that achieves tender and juicy consistency because of its simple marinate mix.On this dish I used
pork kasim, beef or chicken may also be used. Pork Kasim is the shoulder part of pork meat which has less fat and tender.I asked the butcher to make thinly sliced pieces for an even and faster cooking. Pork shoulder steak cuts are ideal for tocino making and bbq.For best results, allow the meat to marinate overnight in pineapple juice (drained from the Del Monte Pineapple Tidbits pack)for a sweeter and tastier quality of steak pieces. A suitable baon and sunday family treat, Pork Steak with Pineapple is sure to win hearts and appetite. Serve with fresh steamed rice, fruit and vegetables. A sure winner. :)

Ingredients:

1/2 Kilo Pork Kasim (shoulder)

1 pack Del Monte Pineapple Tidbits

1 stalk onion leeks, chopped

1 white onion, cut in rings

olive oil

for the marinate: (at least 3 hours or overnight)

soy sauce

pineapple juice

6 pieces calamansi (philippine lime)

a dash of worcestershire sauce

1 head garlic, minced

salt and pepper

Thinly sliced fresh pork steak pieces.

 Procedure:

Marinate the meat overnight. Keep refrigerated.

After leaving it overnight in the fridge, the meat is fully concentrated and soaked in aromatics.

Fry evenly on a mix of olive oil and corn oil, sear all sides.

Lessen the oil and pour the remaining marinade and a little water, just enough to cover. Season and allow to simmer.

Lastly, add the chopped white onion rings and Del Monte Pineapple Tidbits. Garnish with chopped onion leeks.

Best paired with steamed rice and fresh fruits.

A brunch delight on a busy weekday.
