Sweet Potatoes with Aioli Dip

Sweet potatoes, also commonly labeled as yams, are an excellent and inexpensive staple to have on hand. These deep orange-fleshed nutritional powerhouses add several important components to the diet. Their health and weight management benefits far exceed the nutritional value found in ordinary white and yellow fleshed potatoes.

I love sweet potatoes
and use them every which way. I don't like them with sugar or the traditional way.I just prefer it boiled with skin on, and no butter, i rub some olive oil and mash it, add a little mustard  and i'm ready for my power breakfast, quick, simple and easy.

Here is a cool recipe i found on Casa Veneracion, thanks The Pinoy Cook! another great way to enjoy the healthy and inexpensive sweet potatoes. I plan to incorporate the use of this yams in my future cooking because it is better than the regular potato. I tried steaming it too, more delicious! btw, this dish cost me only 50 pesos to make.  - HIR.

Ingredients:
1/2 kilo of sweet potatoes, boiled with skin on. allow to cool.

how to make an Aioli Dip:

1/2 cup of Miracle Whip Low fat Dressing

1/2 tsp olive oil, to thin out the dressing

half a clove of garlic, grated

finely chopped fresh spring onions

1 tsp. mustard (optional)

Just mix all 5 ingredients in a bowl, and chill.Serve as  a dip

Did you know that snacking on sweet potatoes can help your skin stay clear, smooth and young-looking? The reason: Crayola-colored orange in sweet potatoes comes from beta-carotene, an antioxidant that converts to vitamin A in your body and switches on DNA that's in charge of producing new skin cells and shedding old ones.
